Beaune, capital of Burgundy wines. So much to discover!

A stay 61 0 allows lovers of vintage wines the opportunity to walk their curiosity and their palace in the cellars of Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wine.

10km away, the fortified city opens onto the Côte d'Or vineyard and its famous villages, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and many others. Here the climates, these plots of vines drawn by man since the Cistercian monks, completely shaped the landscapes. To understand them, the Maison des Climats in Beaune offers an interactive visit.

To go further, the ClimaVinea paid mobile application (€ 24.99) allows you to explore the 1400 climates and so-called places of the Côte d'Or and to geolocate in vineyards.

But Beaune is also a maze of small cobbled streets, ramparts, charming stalls and pretty monuments.

During your visit to Beaune, two sites are essential: the Hospices de Beaune founded in 1443, both the place of wine auctions but above all the Hôtel Dieu museum housing the extraordinary work of Rogier's "Last Judgment" Van Der Weyden; Moutarderie Fallot , guardian of the know-how of mustard with a millstone.

Go out to Beaune! Throughout the year, the city hosts international festivals such as the crime film festival, jazz festival , baroque opera or Boogie-Woogie .
